Previous Living Planet Solutions
Want to know if we`ve got what it takes to tackle your project? Well, feel free to scroll through the gallery below to check out just some of our previous work! From fully enclosed state of the art grow environments, to off-grid marine power systems, we have experience with a wide range of challenging situations and complex systems. Our client's privacy is very important to us, so we wanted to send out a big thanks to our previous clients for allowing us to share these pictures with you!
Custom solar arraysThis set up was installed on a 75 foot wooden vessel. The panels are 12v 40watts each, with 3 paralleled banks consisting of 4 panels run in series providing up to 480 watts of 48v power to the custom junction box. The 48v Solar array is then converted to 24v by the mppt charge controler which charges both the house and engine start battery banks. Both banks are isolated and have additional independent charge control. | charge and power conversionThis was the main power transformation and conversion housing. Power from all possible sources is routed through here before carrying on to distribution. The system receives power from the solar arrays, a back up generator, the engine alternators, and the ship to shore cable automatically switching based on demand and priority. The components of the housing provide 48V, 24V, and 12V DC as well as 120V and 240V ac and up to 120amps for battery charging. | 6V batteries in banks of 24v4 banks of 225AH deep cycle 6 volts run in series to provide 900AH of 24v power for the house suite. connected together using custom built oversized buss bars. This was done to minimize voltage drop and ensure solid connections that could withstand the rigours of rough seas without the chance of failing. |

Custom Busbars | Custom power distribution pannels | independented ship control circuits |
Custom instrument pannel | Navigation systems | Bilge filterThis was an interesting project! After spending $3000 to have the oily engine room bilge pumped out, we were asked if we could design a simple, inexpensive filter that would trap oil and other pollutants while allowing water to pass through; this was the result. The filter uses gravity as well as a mix of natural and synthetic fibers to separate and trap contaminates while allowing only water to pass. cost of filter medium; less than $5! |

Looks like we haven't quite finished this section, but rest assured we are working hard to get it done as fast as we can :)
